Kate Dimmock, fashion director for People Style-Watch, shares these tips for choosing the right shorts for your figure.

Replica Prada Shoes

If you have a curvy figure, like Michelle Obama, tailored shorts will balance out your figure, she says. "So many women think if they just go baggy, it's a catch-all and they'll look better, but that's not necessarily true."

Pay attention to where the hemline hits your leg. Is it most flattering 8 inches above the knee, mid-thigh or somewhere else?

Note how full or sexy high heels slim the shorts are. More volume is not necessarily flattering, particularly if you have thin legs, because voluminous fabric emphasizes their thinness.

Also watch where the waist hits. "If you are curvier, your waist is your asset and you want to emphasize it."

Many shorts have pleats, cuffs and other details, which can be good if your figure isn't too boyish. Cuffs can minimize muscular thighs.

Self belts and ties are popular in this season's shorts, borrowing from the military trend. These can be Replica IWC Watches good because they allow you to cinch in the waist on the shorts. Shorts that have too much of a straight line aren't particularly flattering to the feminine form; they tend to look masculine.

Shorts and a belt don't always go together, Dim-mock says, so a self-belt can give a look that's "effortlessly chic and flattering."
